Walk in clinic rules: What the clinic staff says before you go in: If you arrive with a fever, a headache, or a muscle ache, your doctor may not be able to give you a prescription for the medication you are about to be given.
If you have any symptoms or if you have been prescribed a medicine that is contraindicated for you, you will not be admitted to the clinic.
If you are an adult and have had your last dose of any medication, you can take it in the clinic without a prescription.
If the last dose is less than 10 days old, you should go in without a doctor’s prescription.
You can also take a single dose in the lounge or in the parking lot.
If your last dosage was 15 days old or older, you must be in the facility by 7 p.m.
The last dose may be given in a designated lounge.
You must be admitted if you are not in pain or otherwise have a physical or mental disability.
The first day you go to a clinic is not the last day you may go in.
The clinic staff will contact you at that time to arrange your admission to the facility.
If there is a difference between your last and your first dose, you may be admitted the first time you get in.

You can ask a walkin clinic volunteer if you or someone you know needs help.
If it’s your first time, be prepared to introduce yourself and explain what you are going through.
Walkins may be helpful in helping you find a treatment plan that works best for you.
You or someone who is helping you may also be able get a referral to someone in the health care system who may be able offer a different treatment plan.
If a walkins referral is not possible, you or your doctor can ask the patient to call a walkhin.
WalkIns can also refer you to a physical therapist or occupational therapist to discuss other treatment options.
If someone has been diagnosed with a serious condition, such as diabetes or heart disease, you could be referred to a specialist for treatment.
A walkin referral is recommended only if the patient has a serious medical condition that is causing them significant pain, disability, or long-term effects on their physical or cognitive function.
If not, a walkina referral is generally considered to be an option for patients with mild or moderate conditions.
