Three players, three teams to take part in Ashes tour
Two of the top three teams from the Ashes tour will be joined by the third team in the first Test, as they face off in Hong Kong, as the Ashes continue on.
The second Test, at Hong Kong on Thursday, will be played at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where the third Test will take place on Saturday.
England will face South Africa, which will take on New Zealand, but will not face Australia.
It is the first time a second Test has been played in the city since the first series in 2013, with South Africa playing three days later.
On Thursday, the England and Australia squads will be revealed ahead of the first Tests.
This is the third tour of the summer that England has taken after being knocked out of the World Cup, but they have never played Australia in their previous three Tests, with a first-class defeat in the series opener in 2014.
Australia will be aiming to extend their winning streak to seven Tests against England, which would tie Australia’s record of six consecutive victories at home.
“This will be our last chance to play Australia and we know we have to do everything to give ourselves the best chance of doing that,” said England coach Darren Lehmann. AAP
