Kids’ clinic east gets $20 million in federal funding

Kids’ Clinic East in Florida’s Central Florida, which treats children with autism and other developmental disabilities, is getting $20.5 million in funding from the Department of Health and Human Services to expand its services, the Department announced Wednesday.

The Department said it will give the clinic $8.9 million over five years.

The funds will be used to expand facilities and expand services, including hiring more clinical social workers, improving communication between the clinic and local health departments and providing additional services, such as support and transportation.

Children with autism are more likely to have behavioral and learning challenges than other children, and their families have the highest rates of behavioral and developmental disabilities.

The children’s service will be provided by Children’s Healthcare of Central Florida (CHECF), a nonprofit organization based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

CHECF operates children’s clinics in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Alabama.

Children’s Clinic East was founded in 2000 and serves about 400 children with developmental disabilities in Florida.

The agency said it plans to expand to provide services to more children with different developmental disabilities through 2018.

CHEOF is the only non-profit organization that has been able to receive funding from HHS under the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Education Act (ADEA) to expand services.

The government provides approximately $6.4 billion annually to states for mental health and other services for children with disabilities.

This year’s funding is the first time that the Department has provided the Children’s Department with a total of $20 billion for autism services, HHS Secretary Tom Price said in a statement.

Childrens Clinic East is in the middle of an $18.7 million expansion, which will include the expansion of its adult services and the construction of a new adult clinic, according to the Department.

“I am grateful to the state of Florida and the federal government for this funding,” Dr. Michael N. Lomax, the CEO of CHEOG, said in the statement.

“The Children’s Health Center has been a champion for our community for decades, and this investment will help our patients and staff thrive.”

Children’s clinic, which provides a wide variety of services, is the third in Florida and is located in the city of Tampa, which has one of the highest autism rates in the nation.
