Braces
Orthodontics is an area of dentistry that deals with improper bites (malocclusion). Improper bite is caused by dental displacements (crowding) or the modification of facial bone growth. Orthodontics aims to restore the normal position of the teeth and this can be done by dental braces. During the first phase of the orthodontic treatment the patient wears dental braces and then may or may not wear retainers that keep the teeth in the improved position during the perion when th bone reforms around the teeth. Braces are traditionally fabricated from wires and brackets but the latest designs are transparent and invisible.
This type of dental treatment requires several regular visits to your dentist, therefore we generally advise that travelling abroad to have an orthodontic treatment might not be as cost effective as having dental implants and conservative dental work such as crowns, bridges and veneers.
